Bio
Carmen Brady-Bronston was born in Tucson, Arizona and grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. She now resides in the Dallas/Fort Worth area with her husband, Steven, and their little boy. As a child, she used to write and illustrate "stories" on lined notebook paper, and these little stories somehow always centered around some made-up family that she had imagined. This should have been a sign because after completing an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Dartmouth College in 1998, and never even entering her field-of-study in the "real" world for the ensuing 15 years, she found her way back to Dartmouth for graduate school where she completed her Masters of Arts in Creative Writing.
Carmen's first publication, Seven Winters Quelled, was a compilation of 40 inspirational poems published in 2008. It was during her time in grad school that she further developed the knack for fiction storytelling.
Carmen's appreciation for family and its universal impact on the lives of people everywhere is what served as the impetus for her most recent publication, Call of the Song Sparrow. She has learned that what people everywhere need in life is the ability to process their own individual journeys, to tell their stories, and have their stories heard.
